For the 24/25 School Year - Kindergarten students must be 5 by September 1st and Transitional Kindergarten (TK) students must be 5 between September 2, 2024, and June 2, 2025, to start school in August.  Any student with a birthday after June 2nd will need to wait until their 5th birthday to start attending school the following school year.

For the 23/24 School Year - Kindergarten students must be 5 by September 1st and Transitional Kindergarten (TK) students must be 5 between September 2, 2023, and April 2, 2024, to start school in August.  Any student with a birthday after April 2nd will need to wait until their 5th birthday to start attending school the following school year. 

Parents of Special Education students must drop off a copy of their IEP at the school site prior to enrollment.

This website is the first step in registering students new to Tehachapi Unified School District and allows you to quickly start the process of registering your student(s) for school. Information about the student such as emergency contacts, medical and language information will be collected.

In order to register a new student at Tehachapi Unified School District, you must have a valid address within the district boundary. Before beginning the registration process, please click here to verify that your address is within the TUSD boundaries and determine your student's home school.

To use this online registration portal you must have a valid email address; if you do not have a valid email address you will need to create one before continuing.  If you are unable to complete the online registration process in one sitting, you may save what you have completed and resume the process at a later time.
